SITUATION SURROUNDING AREA

A dynamic new city quarter

The Erlenmatt area with its park is located in the Basel district of Rosental, North of the Lesser Basel city centre. The area was previously used as a goods train station and turning point for trains by Deutsche Bahn AG. Today, the "Erlenmatt area" is in the process of transforming into a modern, independent city quarter.

The Rosental quarter is an extremely dynamic and lively district, which enjoys brisk use. Apart from traditional occasions, like the Basel autumn trade fair, the international watch and jewellery trade fair BaselWorld and ART Basel take place every year in the new trade fair halls, which lend the quarter an international flair, and a hint of the big city.

The district also has advantages as a residential area. The proximity to the centre of the old town, and local recreation facilities, like Park Lange Erlen, is ideal. In addition, large, international companies from the pharmaceuticals and life sciences sector are based in the area.

There are various tram and bus lines in the area, which take you quickly and easily into the city centre. Just 800 metres from the property is the Badische Bahnhof, from which you can reach the SBB train station within a short amount of time.
